GENOA — Twin River began discussion on what type of modular classrooms the district will use while portions of the current building is demolished for the new school building project.
The Board of Education met on Monday and had initial conversations, but scheduled a special meeting for Monday at 7:30 p.m. to continue the conversation and make a decision. The district is looking at having two modular classroom building, one just outside the elementary wing and the other across the street in the parking lot.
In other business, the board:
• approved the resignation and settlement agreement with former school counselor Dan Koziol. The district did not release the amount of the settlement, saying it was a personnel matter.
• approved the purchase of 200 Chromebooks for $71,486.
• approved the hiring of Robyn Wilcox as K-12 school counselor. She will work 3 days per week.
• approved the meal prices for the 2024-25 school year. Breakfast increased $0.15 for students, while lunch increased $0.25.
• The next meeting is Aug. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
