LLNRD to host informational meetings in St. Paul and Palmer

Spring static water level readings that the Lower Loup NRD staff has collected twice annually since 1975 have indicated that Water Quantity Management Area 19 has become an area of concern regarding groundwater depletions and ongoing drought impacts.

The meetings are planned at the Palmer Fire Hall at 502 Stanwick Street in Palmer from 5-7 p.m. on Nov. 19, and the St. Paul Civic Center at 423 Howard Avenue in St. Paul from 5-7 p.m. on Dec. 3. LLNRD rule change requirements including flow meters on all highcapacity wells, and available costshare, will be discussed.

Impacted/interested operator/ landowners should plan to attend.
