FULLERTON — What qualifications should be considered when hiring Fullerton’s next school superintendent?
The Fullerton Schools Board of Education is seeking input from staff and community members as they go through the process of finding a new superintendent. The district is conducting a survey to get feedback as they move forward.
An online survey is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FPSSearch. Responses to the online form are confidential.
Community members can also email sbecker@nasbonline.org or pick up a copy of the form at the school in the superintendent’s office.
Last week, the board set the timeline for hiring the district’s next superintendent. Meetings will be held in November as the board sets parameters for what they are looking for and December to narrow the candidate list to who the district will interview. The board will interview candidates in January with the hope of hiring a candidate at a meeting later that month.
Interim Superintendent Lynn Johnson is currently on a one-year contract. She replaced Dr. Jeff Anderson, who retired after 24 years as superintendent. Anderson was with the district for 31 years.
