Genoa Medical Foundation gifts van to Genoa Medical Facilities

GENOA, NEBRASKA— Genoa Medical Foundation donated a van to Genoa Medical Facilities for transportation for patients, residents and tenants. The van is a 2023 Ford Transit- 8 passenger van. It is wheelchair accessible with the capability of holding two wheelchairs. It also has an extra wide ramp.

Resident Care Coordinator, Tanya Connelly drove the van and said, “That van drives and rides like a dream!”

Genoa Medical Foundation is made up of a group of people in our community who care about the well-being of Genoa Medical Facilities. Gary Juracek is the current President. Members also include Joe Swantek, Jennifer Wieck, Millie Frey, Amy Kula and Angie Jones. The purpose of the Genoa Medical Foundation is to raise funds to help provide donations for special projects at Genoa Medical Facilities.

“We are very grateful for the donation of the van,” saidAmanda Roebuck, CEO of Genoa Medical Facilities. “Having dependable transportation is so important. The hospital, long term care and assisted living will all benefit from the donation of this van.”

Genoa Medical Foundation is responsible for gifting the facility many things throughout the years in the form of charitable donations from people in our community and events that have been put on by the Foundation and the Facility.

Genoa Medical Foundation is a nonprofit; tax-exempt organization as defined in Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Gifts made to this entity qualify as charitable contributions for income tax purposes.
