The Center for Rural Affairs will soon hold: Online - Tax Readiness, Tuesday, Dec. 9 and Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, and Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. Throughout this multi-session event, small business owners will learn about financial statements, the difference between personal and business taxes, pass-through entities, and more. Other key discussion topics include: how to classify employees and subcontractors, changes to the 1099-NEC threshold, the importance of having separate bank accounts, tax changes to be aware of for 2025 and forward, and the Nebraska Healthy Families and Workplaces Act.
