Fullerton’s 4th Grade boys captured 2nd place in a tournament held in St. Paul on Dec. 14. It was the first games they played this year.
Fullerton started out with a tough opponent in the first game with the Hastings Adams Central team. Fullerton hung tough with the seasoned squad but fell to Adams Central 22-10.
Next up was the St. Paul squad. A tough defensive battle played out in the first half. Fullerton got the offense going in the second and beat St. Paul 16-8 behind the 8 points of Kian Pickrel.
In the third game, Fullerton matched up with Central Valley. However, this time Fullerton left no doubt early racing out to a big lead and beat the young Cougars, 37-9. Turner Tarnick and Cal Hamik led the warriors with 9 and 8 points, respectively. Hastings Adams Central took first place and the Fullerton Warriors placed 2nd in the 4th grade division.
