Donna Margaret Hebda

March 19, 1958 - May 15, 2026

Donna Margaret Hebda, 68, of Vinita, Okla., formerly of Fullerton, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15 at Heartsworth Living Center in Vinita where she had resided since 2014.

She was born March 19, 1958, to C. S. and Mary Ann (Krzycki) Hebda in Fullerton, former owners and publishers of the Nance County Journal newspaper. She attended the Opportunity Center in Columbus as a young child and received her formal education at the Villa Marie School for Exceptional Children in Waverly. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Vinita.

Though challenged with cerebral palsy from birth, Donna was exceptional in many ways. She was gifted with artistic talents, one year designing the Christmas cards used as a fundraiser for Villa Marie School. She also had many musical talents which she channeled into playing the piano, singing and playing the guitar.

She was an accomplished needlecrafter and gifted pillows and wall hangings to family members, as well as other embroidered items. Each of her nieces and nephews received an embroidered baby bib from their Aunt Donna.

Donna is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Hebda of Little Rock, Ark.; four sisters: Diane Bechtold of Margate, N.J., Dorene (Leonard) Logan of Vinita, Okla., Debra (Jeff) Leth of Colorado Springs, Colo., and DaNell Mulvey of Bronx, N.Y.; one brother, Dwain (Darlene) Hebda of Little Rock, Ark.; 13 nieces and nephews; and 10 greatnieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her godmother, Janice (Nowak) Etheridge of Chicago, and her godfather Richard Krzycki of Cozad.

She was preceded in death by her father in 2022, and her grandparents, Joe and Edith Krzycki, formerly of Genoa, and Steve and Frances Hebda, formerly of rural Fullerton.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, June 26, at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church in Little Rock. Rosary starts at 3 p.m. with funeral services to follow. Interment will be held at a later date at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Lincoln.
