Arlene Rose Miller

Arlene Rose Miller, 90, of Columbus, died Friday, May 31, 2024, at Prairie Village in Columbus. 

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2024, with a 5 p.m. vigil service, all occurring at the St. Isidore Catholic Church. 

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are suggested. 

Arlene Miller was born Oct. 9, 1933, to Peter and Victoria (Gunchick) Lassek in rural Merrick County.  She grew up in rural Nance County and went on to receive her education at Fullerton High School, graduating class of 1952. She married Lawrence H. Miller on May 15, 1957, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Arlene worked various jobs including teaching at rural country schools, Dale Electronics, and BD Medical. Arlene later on helped Larry with the electronic repair family business.

She is survived by sisters, Marjorie Heidenreich of Omaha and Justine Hernandez of San Jose, Calif.; brother, Eugene (Teresa) Lassek of Fullerton; sisters-in-law, Joan Lassek of Los Angeles, Calif., and Roene (Steve) Bartle of Kan.; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Victoria Lassek; husband, Lawrence Miller; infant sister, Dolores Lassek; brothers, Jerome Lassek, Clarence Lassek and Ronald Lassek; and sister-in-law, Jacqueline (Hellbusch) Lassek.
