Debra Kay Hinrich

Debra Kay Hinrich, 72, of Genoa, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at her home after a brief battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton with Reverend Vern Olson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Fullerton Cemetery in Fullerton. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Deb was born April 25, 1952, in Lincoln to Earl and Mabel (Stalnaker) Hinrich. She graduated from Fullerton High School in 1970. She worked at Vishay for 35 years before retiring. Deb was the most kindhearted, free-spirited, and independent person you would ever meet. Her pride and joy were her turtles, Dottie and Little Foot, both who meant the world to her. She loved traveling with her best friend, Marge Wolles, to tulip festivals, bargain shopping, and finding whatever unique turtle memorabilia she could find. She will forever be missed by her turtles and by her friends.

She is survived by her long-time special friend, Kevin Jedlicka, who helped her tremendously until the end.

She is preceded in death by her parents and turtle, Sparky.
