Dorothy Mangus

August 23, 1942-December 3, 2022

FULLERTON--Dorothy Mangus, 80, of Fullerton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Central City Long-Term Care in Central City, NE.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2022, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton with Reverend David Fulton officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Bureau Cemetery (Pierce Chapel) in Clarks. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 8th at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is serving the family.

Dorothy was born August 23, 1942 in Genoa, NE to Alphonse and Barbara (Borowiak) Bialas. She attended Fullerton High School, where she met her high school sweetheart, Bill Mangus. They were joined in marriage on May 5, 1962. To this union, they had to two children: Paul and Cindy. Dorothy worked at Len and Jo's Grocery Store, managed the Eagles Club for several years, and worked at the Fullerton nursing home as a cook until retirement. She also helped run Bill’s Service, which her husband and her owned for over 20 years.

Bill and Dorothy enjoyed going camping, fishing, traveling, gardening, and spending time with family. Dorothy also loved to quilt after her retirement.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Michele) Mangus of Fullerton and Cindy (Randy) Fetrow of Columbus; her grandchildren, Zach (fiancée, Megan) Fetrow, Jessica Fetrow, Ben Mangus, and Courtney Mangus; greatgrandson, William Paul Mangus; sister, Agnes (Les) Blair and brother, Richard Bialas, both of Columbus; brother and sister in-law, LeRoy and Lynda Mangus of Albion; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Walker and Karen Bialas; brotherin- law, Wayne Mangus; and great-nephew, David Mangus.
