James Francis Kramer

March 29, 1968 - July 17, 2026

James Francis Kramer, 58, of Fullerton, passed away Friday, July 17, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family after a year-long battle with cancer.

To honor Jim's wishes, a private family memorial service will be held. Military honors will be provided by Fullerton American Legion Post #151, VFW Post #5759, and the United States Navy Honor Guard. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is serving the family.

Jim was born March 29, 1968, in Lincoln to James C. and Mary (Kokenge) Kramer. He attended Pius X High School, graduating in 1986. After he attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he participated in the ROTC program and earned a bachelor's degree in geology.

Following his graduation in 1991, Jim entered active duty with the United States Navy, serving until 1994. During his military service, he was deployed to Somalia, Rwanda, and Burundi. After returning from active duty, he attended graduate school at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln to study geophysics. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Stacy Jensen. The couple married in 1996 and together had two children. He joined the Naval Reserve and was deployed to Iraq from 2004 to 2005. He continued his military career until resigning from the Naval Reserve in 2011 with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Jim enjoyed watching the Kansas City Royals and Husker sports. He also enjoyed coaching track and his career with the U.S. Geological Survey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Kramer, and his brother, Vance Kramer.

Jim is survived by his wife, Stacy (Jensen) Kramer; his son, Jaxon (Amy) Kramer; his daughter, Piper (Biye) Kramer; and his three beloved fur-babies, Hubble, Raksha, and Twix.
