Nicholas Dean Bertram

July 11, 1988 - Oct. 17, 2026

Nicholas Dean Bertram, 38, of Fullerton, passed away on Oct. 17, 2026. Nick was a peacemaker and a true friend to all who knew him, and always the funniest person in the room.

Family and friends are invited to St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton for the visitation on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, from 5-7 p.m., where a vigil service will follow at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton with Fr. Stan Schmit officiating. After the funeral mass, lunch will follow at St. Peter’s Renewal Center. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is serving the family.

Nick grew up in Arvada, Colo., one of three triplets, and loved by all six of his siblings who were his day-one, life-long, best friends. He attended Western State Colorado University in Gunnison and after graduating, moved to Fullerton, where he built a life centered on his family. In his 15 years of dedicated service at Preferred Sands, he took pride in a professional life rich with meaningful friendships and people who were as important to him as his own family. Nick loved to be outside, and whether fishing, golfing, or floating, being present with those for whom he cared deeply was his special gift.

The light of Nick’s life, his pride and joy, were his sons: Reid (13), Brecken (8), and Bowen (2). Being their dad was the greatest role of his life and a dream come true. He loved coaching Reid’s baseball team, watching Brecken play baseball, and seeing Bowen grow. The love he had for them will carry on in everything they do.

Nick was preceded in death by his father, Neil William Bertram. He is survived by his sons, Reid, Brecken, and Bowen; his mother, Nancy (Monte) Williams; siblings, Doug (Jessica) Bertram, Gregory (Isabelle) Bertram, Elisabeth ‘Lisa’ (Jason) Dickinson, David J. Ciancio, Joseph T. (Jennifer) Ciancio, and Kristine ‘Krissy’ (Oliver) Lawrence; and a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored him.
