Oliver "Ollie" Ernest Nesbitt

Oliver "Ollie" Ernest Nesbitt, age 96, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023.

Ollie was born Oct. 29, 1926 to Merle and Dolly Nesbitt. Ollie grew up near Fullerton, Nebraska. He graduated from Fullerton High School in May of 1944. He decided to enlist in the Army at age 17 so his two younger brothers would not have to go. He served in World War II.  After returning from the service he married Mary "Katie" Kathleen Denton on July 3, 1948. They were married for 72 years. He was member of the American Legion Post 151 for 66 years. 

Ollie is survived by Steve (Ginny) Nesbitt, Tom (Deb) Nesbitt; grandchildren, Jamie (Brian) Hagen, Tony (Heather) Nesbitt, Nick (Courtney) Nesbitt, Bailey (Tyler) McLellan; 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will take place Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Fullerton Memorial Cemetery in Fullerton with a lunch to follow at Fullerton Community Church.
