Russell Sprague, 67, of Fullerton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, at Grand Island Regional in Grand Island, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton, with Pastor Vern Olson officiating. Burial will follow at Fullerton Cemetery with military honors provided by Fullerton American Legion Post #151, VFW Post #5759, and the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at the funeral home. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is serving the family.

Russ was born on July 17, 1959, to Glen and Alice (Myers) Sprague in Grand Island. He grew up in Fullerton and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1978. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served for 20 years. After retiring from the Air Force, Russ worked as an engineer for both Ryans and Spirit in Wichita, Kansas.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Russ was the cornerstone of his family and a steady, caring presence to all who knew him. His dedication to his family and the love he shared with them will be remembered and treasured for years to come.

Russell is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie Sprague; sons, Nicholas Sprague and Jeremy Tibbetts; and daughter, Dallas Abbey and her husband, Shane. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Faith Tibbetts, Ashton Tibbetts, Hope Sprague, Tyler Sprague, Sara Gilliland and her spouse, Nichole Gilliland, and Stefani Lockett. He was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and happiness to his life.

Russell also leaves behind a large circle of loving relatives, cousins, and lifelong friends who will forever cherish his memory and the lasting impact he had on their lives.
