Tandra Lou Bishop, 84, of Belgrade, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024, at Genoa Long-Term Care in Genoa.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton with Pastor Mick Goc officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. To honor Tandra’s wishes, cremation will take place after the service and burial of ashes will be at a later date.

Tandra was born July 24, 1939 to Louis and Frances (Engel) Tschantre in Silver Creek. She graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1957. On June 29, 1959, she married Jessee Bishop at the Nance County Courthouse in Fullerton. They made their home in Belgrade and raised four children. Her two most memorable jobs were Bessie’s Café and New Frontier Saloon in Belgrade.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, trucking with her husband, Jessee, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, spending time outdoors tending to her flower beds/lawn, and watching Husker volleyball. She was also a member of the Belgrade United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children, Randy (fiancée, Tina Dockham) Bishop of Nebraska City, Becky Eckert of Columbus, Brett (Amy) Bishop of Belgrade, and Brenda (Jeff) Wardenburg of Belgrade; grandchildren, Bryan (Shannon) Bishop of Solon, IA, Brandi Cave of South English, IA, Jess (Brandon) Haiar of Columbus, NE, Jamie (Kris) Thompson of McCaysville, GA, and Tori Eckert of Columbus, NE; great-grandchildren, Logan Bishop, Remington Cave, Carmelita Cave, Quinten Cave, Tessa Haiar, Mia Thompson, Ethan Thompson, Tenley Thompson, Briley Bowers and Adison Bowers; siblings, Delana (Duane) Chohon and Rachel McCormick; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jessee; brother, Dick (Judy) Tschantre; sister, Marsha (Jack) Crow; and brother-in-law, Wendell McCormick.
