Mary Vera Mitchell, 89, of Fullerton, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at her home. To honor Mary’s wishes, her body was donated to science. She will later be cremated and she requested her ashes be scattered so she will always be blowing in the wind. Mary was born on Feb.

Shirley Jean (Gabbert) Shotkoski, 87, of Plattsmouth, peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at the Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha. Shirley was born on Jan. 8, 1936 to Clarence “Tom” Thomas Gabbert and Theda Evelyn (Summers) Gabbert in Kansas City, Mo., in 1937.
