We need a courageous leader

A leader rejects passivity, accepts responsibility and leads courageously. However, in politics, “leaders” often pander to those with the loudest voices, have the largest “identity groups”, and have the broadest appeals.

Will God gaffe affect the Presidential election?

Can a candidate do or say anything to make you flip your vote?We are less than two weeks away from the Nov. 5 General Election and things are getting pretty interesting.Last week Vice President Kamala Harris was at a rally in Wisconsin when she was talking about abortion. No shock there.

Thank a Farmer Today

As Third District farmers round out the fall harvest season, it is an appropriate time to note how hard agriculture producers work to feed and fuel the world and how this drives our state’s economy.

General Election is underway with early voting

Voting has begun! Early voting began Oct. 7 in Nebraska, but the sad fact of this or any other election is that nationally only 67 percent of the population who are eligible to vote are actually registered to vote, meaning 33 percent of Americans are not registered to vote!

Can we still find common ground?

Lately, I have been watching videos online where the producers bring two groups with opposing views together and they discuss various topics to see where the two sides can find common ground.Sometimes the two sides are Republicans and Democrats. Other times it is Christians and Atheists.
