I don’t know about you, but I love politics. And I hate it. I love it for its entertainment value. But I hate what it turns people into. Gone are the days of old when two people could have a differing political opinion and they could still get along. Gone are the days of Election Day coverage.

The evolution of robotics

The field of robotics has come a long way in my lifetime. My earliest impressions on robotics came from movies and television. Some robots were a bit silly, like the robot from “Lost in Space.” Some were scary, like the HAL 9000 from “2001: A Space Odyssey” and later “The Terminator” robots.

Why I love fall

There are so many things I love about fall: the cooler temperatures, volleyball and football season, the colors of the leaves when they change and some important holidays. No, I don’t mean Halloween. I love any excuse to eat candy, but I’m not a fan of scary things.

‘Getting under your skin’ with Varicose Veins

From the back of our hands to the back of our legs, pale blue blood vessels are visible just under the skin. Oftentimes these veins are flat and not painful. However when these vessels become abnormally swollen or dilated, they are called varicose veins.

We have officially hit the fourth quarter

Where has the time gone? Another month is in the books and we are one day closer to 2024. If you are like me you probably forgot to flip the page on your calendar, but when you do you will notice that we have entered the fourth quarter of 2023.

This week I covered Cross County at Madison, and it was a blowout. Last week Shelby-Rising City blew them away, so that was fairly predictable. What I was disappointed in were the scorekeeper and announcer. The scorekeeper stopped putting the yards and downs on the board after the FIRST quarter!
