Warriors upset Eagles

Fullerton earns second straight trip to State with 64-45 road win
The defense gave the Eagles headaches all night, led by Terrick Gonsior. Teams have to think twice when going to the basket around the Fullerton senior. If they try getting physical, he is not afraid to put his body on the line and draw an offensive foul. He leads the state for a reason. NCJ photos by Rick Holtz

OVERTON — The Warriors are heading back to Lincoln for the second straight year.

Fullerton pulled off the 64-45 upset on Saturday over Overton in the D1-7 District Final to punch their tickets to State. The Warriors had to wait for McCool Junction and Twin Loup to play the D1-6 District Final on Tuesday (results after deadline) before the pathway to a potential state championship could be revealed.
