Warriors compete at Bobcat Invite

EWING — The Warriors had a strong showing on Saturday at the Summerland Bobcat Invite.Five Fullerton wrestlers found themselves on the podium at the end of the day. Mason Hemmingsen (113 pounds) and Tate Wood (120 pounds) won their brackets. Isaac Carey finished second at 285 pounds.

Titans drop close ones to Panthers, Dragons

GENOA — The Titans girls basketball team lost two games last week by a combined five points.Twin River could not hold onto a 10-point first quarter lead on Thursday in their 45-42 loss to Newman Grove/St. Edward. Then on Friday they dropped a 47-45 game at Madison.

Warriors show improvement in losses

FULLERTON — The Warriors remain winless on the season, but they continue to show improvement on the court.Fullerton dropped a pair of games last week, falling to Nebraska Christian 51-31 at home on Thursday and Hampton/Heartland 47-36 on the road on Friday.

MacDonald wrestles in Malcolm

MALCOLM — The Twin River girls wrestling team returned to the matt on Friday after the holiday break.Zoey MacDonald completed in the 115-pound weight class. She was pinned in the first round byeventual champion Hayley Serfontein of Southern Valley/Arapahoe.

Titans win 4th straight

MADISON — The Titans just keeps winning.Twin River (7-3) is now winners of their last four matchups thanks to a 57-49 road win over Madison on Friday. The Titans jumped out to a 19-8 lead after one quarter and held off the Dragons’ second half rally for the win.

District assignments announced

The district assignments for the 2026 football season have been announced.The Titans will play in the D1-3 district. In addition to Twin River, other teams include Cedar Bluffs, Cross County, David City, Nebraska Christian and Tekamah-Herman.The Warriors will play in the D2-4 district.

Fullerton 4th grade open 2-0 in league play

The Fullerton 4th Garde began league play on Saturday, Jan. 10th at Centura with two games. Fullerton started off with the hometown Centura Centurions. The young Warriors jumped all over Centura from the opening tip. Cal Hamik racked up several assists, as he orchestrated a fine-tuned offense.

Twin River repeats as Stanton Holiday champs

STANTON — Winning leaves a good taste in your mouth.Twin River (5-3) won the Stanton Holiday Tournament for the second straight year, beating Tri County Northeast 69-38 on Monday and Neligh-Oakdale 59-34.

Warriors finish 3rd in holiday tourney

HUMPHREY — The Warriors bounced back on Tuesday to finish third at the Humphrey-Lindsay Holiday Tournament.Class D-1 No. 4 Fullerton (8-2) got back to their winning ways last week, picking up a 61-49 win over Shelby-Rising City in the consolation game at Lindsay Academy.
