ALBION — Fullerton freshman Riley Thomas has advanced to NSAA District 1 at Battle Creek on Friday. “It shows that my hard work is paying off,” Thomas said. “It means a lot, considering how much time and effort and all the hard work this season.

Balanced attack leads to road win for Warriors

GRAND ISLAND — It was a total team effort that led to Fullerton’s 48-31 win over Heartland Lutheran. The Warriors used a balanced attack from Jaci Maxfield (15 points), Georgia Bridger (14 points) and Paige Horn (10 points) to keep the Red Hornets on their heels.

GRAND ISLAND — Fullerton and Twin River wrestlers had one final tune-up ahead of this week’s district meet. The Warriors finished 7th and the Titans finished 8th at the Crusader Invite at Grand Island Central Catholic. Fullerton finished with 74.0 points, while Twin River had 72.0 points.

Titans’ Reeg sets steals record in win

LEIGH — There is a new theft queen in Genoa. Senior Delaney Reeg broke the single-game steals record last week when Twin River defeated Lyons-Decatur Northeast, 58-41, in the consolation round of the East Husker Conference Tournament on Tuesday.

MADISON — Twin River was standing tall over the weekend. The Titans traveled to Madison to compete in the East Husker Conference meet. Twin River wrestlers did not leave empty-handed. Zach Held took first place at 113 pounds.

FULLERTON — Fullerton picked up a home win on Pleasanton on Friday, edging the Bulldogs 48-38. Nolan Dubas led the scoring attack for the Warriors, finishing with 12 points, while grabbing 6 rebounds. Kane Wetovick added 11 points and 7 rebounds.
