Golfers Hit Links at Valley View

CENTRAL CITY — Fullerton golfers showed poise on Monday as they competed in the Central City 3-Man Scramble at Valley View Golf Course. The team of Trey Swertzic, Cade Russell, and Jerrod Land finished third with a score of 70. The trio was seven strokes off the division one leaders from St. Paul.

Warriors, Titans Play Best Ball

FULLERTON — Fullerton and Twin River golfers played the best ball last week in Fullerton’s 2-Man Best Ball Invite at Pawnee Hills Golf Course on Wednesday. Fullerton’s duo of Jerrod Land and Trey Swertzic finished third overall with a score of 85. Cade Russell and Nolan Dubas shot a 91.

Long Ball Lifts Titans Past Jeffs

GENOA — The Titans scored early and often and never looked back. Twin River defeated Fairbury 9-2 on Thursday to improve to 8-5 on the year. Kadin Buhl got Twin River going early, hitting a 3-2 pitch to right field for a leadoff triple.

A New School Record

Congratulations to Fullerton’s Roe Patton! He broke the school record in Pole Vault with a jump of 13-feet-8 last week when the Warriors competed at the Neligh-Oakdale Invitational. Turn to Sports for more track coverage.

Baseball Gets A Good Start on the Season

The Central City/Fullerton/ Centura Kernels started the season on Monday, March 20th. The weather had been less than cooperative, but that has improved. There are 32 players on the team this year, including 16 freshman.

By Paige Horn The 95th Nebraska State FFA Convention was held in Lincoln on March 29th-31st. This year’s theme was “It’s Up To Us”. The Fullerton FFA Chapter participated in multiple state events including: Career Development Events (CDEs), Proficiency Judging, and the State Degree Ceremony.

This relay team beat the previous record of 4:05 with a new time of 4:01. Team includes Landon Glup, Kane Wetovick, Cael Dubas and Jakob Supik.  Kyle Horn jumps the hurdles at the junior high track meet.
