Upcoming District Schedule

Area teams are entering the final weeks of their seasons. Baseball Twin River takes on Lincoln Christian in the C-2 District at Plattsmouth on Thursday. Central City/Fullerton/Centura play host to Louisville in the C-3 District on Thursday.

Kernels Sweep Titans, Vikings

CENTRAL CITY — The Kernels used a 10 run second inning to take complete control of Omaha North as Central City/Fullerton/Centura defeated the Vikings 29-4 in 5 innings on Thursday. The Kernels added 11 runs in the fourth inning as the offense exploded for 20 hits in the game.

Warriors compete at Shelby-Rising City Invite

SHELBY — The Warriors traveled to Shelby on Tuesday for the Shelby-Rising City Invite. Fullerton was one of 13 teams competing at the event. Lainie Ziemba finished second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.31 and third in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 51.37.

Warriors finish 12th at Southern Hills

HASTINGS — Fullerton finished 12th out of 14 teams on Thursday at the St. Cecilia Invite at Southern Hills Golf Course. The Warriors shot a 425 for the day. Grand Island Central Catholic shot a 335, edging Adams Central (336) and Donipahn-Trumbull (337) for low score on the day.

Warriors Finish 2nd, 3rd at Palmer Invite

FULLERTON — It was the home track advantage without it being a home meet. Fullerton track and field competed in the Palmer Invite on Thursday in Fullerton. Teagan Gonsior had a big day for the Warriors, finishing first in each of the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 53.14, long jump with a 16-09.

Warriors, Titans Compete Among Area’s Best

GRAND ISLAND — It was a showcase of some of the best track stars in Central Nebraska, and may have been a small preview of the State Track & Field Championship meet coming next month in Omaha.

Titans Finish as Runner-up at Own Invite

GENOA — Twin River played host to nine track teams on Thursday for the Twin River Invite. Spencer Ramaekers won the long jump, leaping 21-00.50. He also finished second in the 100- and 200-meter dashes. Owen O’Kelley won the pole vault, clearing 12-00.00.

Warriors Fall at Home Dual Meet

FULLERTON — Fullerton golf fell to Cross County-Osceola on Monday in a dual at Pawnee Hills Golf Course in Fullerton. The Warriors shot a 204 as a group, 20 strokes behind CCO. Trey Swertzic had the low score on the day with a 43.

Titans Drop Pair of Road Games

The Titans dropped a pair of road games last week. On Tuesday, Twin River (8-7) traveled to Wayne and fell 2-0 to the Devils. Paydon Rinkol went 2-for-3 on the day as the Titans struggled to get just four hits. Korbe Urkoski and Garrett Alexander had the other two hits for the road team.

Titans Run at High Plains Track Invite

OSCEOLA — Twin River participated in the High Plains Track Invitational which took place in Osceola. Twin River boys would come in sixth with the girls placing eighth. Emma Yrkoski placed 3rd in the 300-meter hurdles, and Hannah Yrkoski placed first in the high jump going 4’10”.
