District assignments announced

The district assignments for the 2026 football season have been announced.The Titans will play in the D1-3 district. In addition to Twin River, other teams include Cedar Bluffs, Cross County, David City, Nebraska Christian and Tekamah-Herman.The Warriors will play in the D2-4 district.

Area athletes receive postseason honors

FULLERTON — A group of Fullerton football players received postseason honors.Parker Aaberg, Cael Dubas, Landen Glup and Kyle Horn all were named to the Class D2-3 All-District team. Tucker Smith, Jakob Supik and Isaac Supik were named to the honorable mention team.

Warrior season ends in playoff opener

WYNOT — The Warriors’ football season came to an end on Thursday in the opening round of the Class D-2 playoffs.“I’m proud of the kids,” Fullerton coach Brandon Siegel said. “As young as they were, to qualify for the state playoffs. The kids commit themselves and work hard.”No.

Battle-tested Warriors are playoff bound

FULLERTON — Now the real fun starts.The Warriors closed out the regular season with a 52-34 win over Riverside. Now Fullerton (5-3) hits the road to take on No. 7 Wynot (7-1) in the Class D-2 playoffs.The Blue Devils cruised through most of the regular season.

Defenders spoil Warrior Homecoming

FULLERTON — The Warriors knew they were in for a dog fight on Friday.Class D-2 No. 2 Archangels Catholic came to town looking to play spoiler for Fullerton’s homecoming. The Defenders (7-0) shutout the Warriors 46-0 with all the points coming in the first half.

Warriors tested by No. 6 Jaguars

HOWELLS — Fullerton faced its toughest competition of the season on Friday when they took on D-2 No. 6 Howells-Dodge.The Jaguars (5-0) used big plays to grab the momentum early in their 44-20 win over Fullerton. Senior Hunter Luther capped scoring drives with 57- and 70-yard runs.

Warriors fall to Bulldogs, 46-14

FULLERTON — Fullerton struggled to slow Osceola down on Friday and the Bulldogs ran all over the field.Osceola (2-2) finished with 461 yards of total offense in their 46-14 win over Fullerton (2-2). The Bulldogs scored 40 unanswered points, holding the Warriors scoreless for the entire second half.

CEDAR BLUFFS — Fullerton stayed perfect on the season Friday, running over Cedar Bluffs in a 62-22 road win.The Warriors (3-0) jumped out to a quick lead, scoring on their first play from the line of scrimmage. Sophomore Cael Dubas took the snap and ran the ball 59 yards to put his team ahead.
