Titans hold off Bearcats for win

HAMPTON — They knocked down shots when it mattered.Twin River (2-2) held off a scrappy Hampton-Heartland team on the road, defeating the Bearcats 65-57 on Saturday.Caleb Rood scored 10 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Titans to victory.

Titans get career night from Rodriguez in opener

SHELBY— Twin River opened the season with a 52-43 win to open the season.The Titans were led by Corbin Rodriguez, who finished with a career high 30 points. The senior scored 9 points in the fourth quarter, including going 6-of-11 from the free throw line in the quarter.

Balanced Titans ready for new season

GENOA — Great things are in store for the Twin River boys’ basketball team.This year’s squad will look to improve on the 11-14 record from a year ago. They are looking for their first winning season since 2019-2020, when the Titans went 15-10.

Titans fall to Cardinals in overtime

ALMA — The game on Tuesday was a lot closer than the final score shows.Twin River battled back to force an overtime, but Alma kept the Titans off the scoreboard in the overtime period to advance to the C2-9 Sub-District Final with a 45-37 overtime win.

Titan, Warrior boys learn sub-district paths

The paths are set.The Warriors and Titans boys’ basketball teams learned their sub-district opponents on Tuesday.No. 4 seed Twin River (10-12) is set to play Superior (1-20) in the opening round of the C2-9 sub-district at Alma on Monday for a chance to play top-seeded Alma (20-2) on Tuesday.

Titans top Longhorns, 65-21

DORCHESTER — Twin River has been playing the best basketball of their season over the last couple of weeks.The Titans, winners of 6 of the last 7 games, picked up a convincing road win on Friday, topping Dorchester 65-21 to improve to 10-10 on the year.
