Titans struggle against Mustangs

McCOOL JUNCTION — The game started a lot better for the Titans than it finished.Twin River (1-1) had their best drive of the night on the opening series — marching 54 yards down the field, capped by an Adam Schroder 3-yard touchdown run.

Titans break records in win

GENOA — Twin River wanted to make a statement in their season-opener against Giltner and that is exactly what they did.The Titans set a school record for points scored in a game in their 74-20 win over the Hornets. The previous record was 67 points in a game when Twin River defeated Madison in 2023.

Titans looking for growth every week

GENOA — How to do you build off the first winning season in program history? How about a playoff run?Twin River is coming off a 5-3 season where they were not playoff eligible. This year’s squad is eligible and looks to compete each week on the field.

HISTORY ACHIEVED

Twin River’s football team did something this year that no other Titan squad was able to accomplish. The team finished the season with a winning record. Twin River shutout Humphrey-Lindsay Academy 40-0 on Friday to wrap up the football season.

Titans achieve winning season

GENOA — For the first time in Twin River’s school history, the Titans have finished the season with a winning record.The playoffs were never in the cards for this Titans squad. Going into the season they knew they were not going to be playoff eligible.

Titans dominate Dragons

GENOA — What a way to celebrate Homecoming.Twin River improved to 4-3 on the season with a dominating 54-8 win over Madison.Going into the game, Twin River coach Kalin Koch said he wanted to see his team execute on offense and tackle better on defense. The Titans were up to the challenge.

Rinkol gets 1,000th rush yard in win

NEWMAN GROVE — History was made in Newman Grove on Friday.Twin River senior Paydon Rinkol became the first Titans player to rush for 1,000 yard in a season. Rinkol added 175 yards on 37 carries to help lead Twin River to a 30-14 win over Newman Grove/St. Edward.

Titans see long drives, but few points

DAVID CITY — David City had Twin River well scouted going into their district matchup on Friday.The Scouts defeated the Titans 56-6 to stay unbeaten on the year.

Patriots run by Titans to open district

GENOA — It’s hard to win a football game when the other team runs for 500 yards.Clarkson/Leigh picked up their first win of the season, running past Twin River (2-2) on their way to a 60-34 win on Friday to open district play. The Patriots ran for 503 yards and 6 touchdowns.
