Titans rally, but Warriors get walk off win in extra innings

FORT CALHOUN — The Titans rallied late to force extra innings, but the Warriors ended Twin River’s season in the opening round of the C-3 District on Thursday.Kruz Fiddler hit a two-out single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Lincoln Lutheran a 3-2 win over Twin River.

Short-handed Titans compete at Crossroads Conference meet

OSCEOLA — Twin River tested their times against rest of the Crossroads Conference on Saturday at the conference meet in Osceola.The Titans were short-handed for the meeting. The district’s graduation ceremonies were also scheduled for Saturday.Twin River’s girls finished ninth with 17 points.

HUMPHREY — Twin River traveled to Humphrey on Thursday for the Archangels Catholic Invite at Steepleview Golf CourseTwin River finished with team score of 476. Riverside took home the team title, shooting 356 on the day.Corbin Rodriguez finished fifth overall, five strokes off the lead with an 83.

Titans snap 5-game skid

GENOA— What a difference a week can make.Twin River snapped a 5-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Aurora on Wednesday. Then on Friday, the Titans won their second straight with a 2-1 road win over Douglas County West.

ALBION — Fullerton and Twin River golfers had a busy week, competing in three different events last week.The Warriors finished 6th overall on Thursday at the Boone Central Invite with a team score of 365. The Titans finished 12th with a 447. Norfolk Catholic took home the team title, shooting a 323.

Jeffs hand Titans 4th straight loss

GENOA — Twin River gave up 7 runs in the top of the seventh inning on Thursday as Fairbury rallied to win 11-8, handing the Titans their fourth straight loss.The Ti tans used a 5-run third inning to take control of the contest early.
