HISTORY ACHIEVED

Twin River’s football team did something this year that no other Titan squad was able to accomplish. The team finished the season with a winning record. Twin River shutout Humphrey-Lindsay Academy 40-0 on Friday to wrap up the football season.

Titans achieve winning season

GENOA — For the first time in Twin River’s school history, the Titans have finished the season with a winning record.The playoffs were never in the cards for this Titans squad. Going into the season they knew they were not going to be playoff eligible.

Titans go 2-1 in conference tournament

YORK — Twin River got its first taste of the Crossroads Conference Tournament at the York Auditorium, but it did not go the way the Titans wanted.Osceola defeated Twin River 25-17, 25-16 in the opening round of the conference tournament on Saturday.

Titans dominate Dragons

GENOA — What a way to celebrate Homecoming.Twin River improved to 4-3 on the season with a dominating 54-8 win over Madison.Going into the game, Twin River coach Kalin Koch said he wanted to see his team execute on offense and tackle better on defense. The Titans were up to the challenge.

Titans tops Hawks at home for fifth win of year

GENOA — Twin River surpassed last season’s win total with a four set win over Hampton on Thursday.The Titans earned their fifth win of the year, thanks to a 25-19, 25-18, 23-25, 25-19 win over Hampton.

Titans run preview on district course

McCOOL JUNCTION — The Titans cross country team had a preview of the district meet last week when they ran at Camp Kateri.Twin River finished seventh at the McCool Junction Invite, running on the same course they will tackle for the D-4 District meet on Thursday.

No. 6 Titans upset in District Final

GENOA — The Titans saw their season come to an abrupt end on Friday, falling two wins short of a State berth.No. 6 Twin River (25-10) were upset in the C-6 District Final by the No. 11 seed, Aquinas Catholic, dropping game one 11-10 and falling in game two 22-8.
