FULLERTON — Athletes will tell you that all wins feel the same. But county wins feel just a little better.Fullerton defeated Twin River on Thursday and now holds Nance County bragging rights. The Warriors won in a clean sweep, 25-17, 25-22, 25-19.

Patriots run by Titans to open district

GENOA — It’s hard to win a football game when the other team runs for 500 yards.Clarkson/Leigh picked up their first win of the season, running past Twin River (2-2) on their way to a 60-34 win on Friday to open district play. The Patriots ran for 503 yards and 6 touchdowns.

No. 5 Titans look to rebound after losses

Twin River dropped a pair of games last week to some good competition.The Class C No. 5 Titans traveled to Hastings on Tuesday to take on Class C No. 1 St. Cecilia. The Hawkettes cruised to a 15-3 win in 3 innings.Twin River (20-5) was held to just 3 hits in the game.

Titans spoil Heartland’s Homecoming

HENDERSON — Everyone loves a spoiler.Twin River crashed Heartland’s Homecoming festivities on Friday and sent the Husky fans away with a bad taste in their mouth. The Titans ran away with a 56-30 win.“We played good football,” Twin River coach Kalin Koch said.

No. 4 Titans win 20th game of season

GENOA — Twin River picked up their 20th win of the season, defeating Yutan-Mead 9-1 at home on Monday.The Class C No. 4 Titans jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning and added 3 more runs in the third inning.

Titan runners finish 7th at Bergan Invite

FREMONT — Twin River finished seventh on Thursday at the Bergan Invite at Camp Calvin Crest.Caleb Rood finished 19th with a time of 22:34. Carson Kershaw finished 23rd with a time of 23:14.Twin River will be back in action on Friday when they travel to O’Neil Golf Course for the O’Neil Invite.

Titans split at triangulars

McCOOL JUNCTION — The Titans picked up a couple of wins last week and stood toe-to-toe with one of the area top teams.Twin River had to settle for a split on the road on Thursday, falling to Class D-2 No. 4 Meridian 25-20, 25-23 and defeating McCool Junction 25-22, 25-21.

No. 7 Titans go 3-0 at Fairbury Invite

FAIRBURY — Twin River bats stayed hot on Saturday as the Titans won three games on their way to bringing home the hardware from the Fairbury Invite.The No. 7 Titans opened the day with a 10-2 win over Centennial. They advanced to the title game thanks to a 7-3 win over Lincoln Northwest.
