Warriors see better times in Albion

ALBION — Two Warriors earned medals on Friday at the Boone Central Invitational at Albion Country Club as Fullerton runners continue to see their times improve. Justin Horn finished 20th in the boys race with a time of 18:38.50. Morgan Supik finished 18th in the girls race with a time of 23:15.50.

Record-setting performance

MURRAY — What a way to open the season. Twin River overcame a slow start, scoring three times in the second quarter and the Titans (1-0) never looked back as they cruised to a 44-25 road win over Conestoga (0-1).

Titans win Fillmore Central Invite

GENEVA — Twin River outscored its opponents 34-8 on Saturday to return home as Fillmore Central Invite champions. Twin River 8, Southern/Diller Odell 1 The Titans scored early and often against the Thunder. JLee Van Driel went 3-for-3 and scored twice at the top of the lineup.

Titans show promise at Minden Invite

MINDEN — Twin River opened the volleyball season on Saturday, dropping a trio of matches to Adams Central, Nebraska Christian and Valentine. Two of the three opponents are ranked in the state. Adams Central is currently ranked No. 8 in Class C-1 and Nebraska Christian is ranked No. 8 in Class D-1.

Fullerton, Twin River runners compete at St. Paul Invite

ST. PAUL – Fullerton and Twin River kicked off the cross country season on Thursday, battling the heat and other runners at the St. Paul Invite. Fullerton coach Jordan Wetovick said that course, which sits in a pasture behind Milletta Vista Winery, is very rugged and hilly.

Titans enter second year of 8-man football

GENOA — It may be only year No. 2 for 8-man football, but the Titans anticipate taking that next step out on the field this season. Coach Kalin Koch said that they expect to be competitive in most games this season and look for the wins to pile up.

Senior leadership will lead deep Titan roster this year

GENOA — Depth can solve a lot of problems. When someone is having an off night, a coach can go to the bench for a fresh player. Twin River will have the luxury of playing with a deep roster this year, coach Julie Strain said. “We are very positive with the outlook of the season,” she said.

Sports now streaming on Hudl

Fullerton and Twin River sports have a new streaming home. Both schools will be streaming all home sporting events on Hudl. Sports fans will still be able to watch home games from their couch, they just have to go to a new web address. A link is available on both school websites.
