Football breakdowns released

The NSAA announced officially announced the 2024-2025 football classifications on Monday. Twin River will remain in class D1, but will not be playoff eligible. The Titans could have moved back up to 11-man football, but opted to stay at 8-man.

Thomas second at Wood River

WOOD RIVER — Fullerton girls competed in the Wood River Invite on Saturday. Riley Thomas went 3-1 on the day with three pins. She finished second in the 140 pound weight class. Fullerton finished 14th overall out of 18 team with 22 points.

Warriors still searching for first win

FULLERTON — Another minute and it could have been a different outcome. Fullerton is still searching for their first win of the season, though they nearly found it on Thursday in their matchup with Central Valley.

Warrior defense tames Cougars

FULLERTON — Everything was just clicking after halftime. Fullerton used smothering defense and hot shooting on offense during a second half of Thursday to pull away from Central Valley (1-2) en route to a 69-49 win at home.

Fullerton's Bridger earns 100th career victory

COLUMBUS — Fullerton opened the wrestling season on the Friday at the Lakeview Invite. Fullerton’s boys team finished 10th, while the girls finished 8th. Lakeview boys took home the team title, while the girls from Aurora edged eight other teams to take home the team title.

Storm too much for Warriors

POLK — The starters were Nolan Dubas, Justin Horn, Aiden Norman, Terrick Gonsior and Kane Wetovick. This game was neck-and-neck the whole time. It was hard to tell who would end up victorious when the buzzer went off. Dubas put in a free throw first, followed by a basket by Hunter Gochenour.

Storm run past Warriors

POLK — The starters were Paige Horn, Jaci Maxfield, Georgia Bridger, Isabel Norman and Melinda Pickrel. They started out well, with baskets from Horn and Ella Pickrel. Maxfield was fouled and put in four three throws. Maxfield pulled down a couple rebounds, and Horn and Emilyn Kurz each got a steal.

Warriors open season with 39-30 win over Longhorns

FULLERTON — The Warriors opened the basketball season with an opening night win on Thursday. Fullerton (1-0) used a big second quarter and limited Burwell (0-1) to just one field goal in the third quarter on their way to a 39-30 win at home.
