Titans top Warriors for county supremacy

GENOA — It’s a game that is always circled on both teams’ calendars.Twin River defeated Fullerton 50-23 on Thursday in the Nance County Showdown.“It’s definitely not just any other game to us,” Fullerton coach Alyssa Reardon said. “It’s a rivalry and it is one of our biggest games of the season.

Titans place 3rd, Warriors finish 5th at Elgin / Pope John Invite

ELGIN — Nance County wrestlers were well-represented on the medal stands on Saturday.Twin River finished third, while Fullerton finished fifth, at the Elgin Public Pope John Invite. Plainview held off Pender by 0.5 points to take home the team title.

Olson finishes 3rd in Elgin

ELGIN — Not a bad way to finish a day.Fullerton and Twin River girls wrestling teams joined a field of 23 teams to compete on Friday at the Elgin Public Pope John Invite.Fullerton’s Delylla Olson finished third overall at 140 pounds. She went 3-1 on the day with three pins.

No. 5 Warriors stay unbeaten

FULLERTON — The wins keep coming.Fullerton picked up a trio of wins last week, improving to 5-0 on the season.“I always tell the guys that we have to set the tempo,” Fullerton coach Will Wagner said.

Warriors medal at Coyote Invite

MERNA — Five Warriors found their way onto the medal stand on Saturday.Fullerton finished sixth overall at the Anselmo-Merna Coyote Invitational. Elm Creek took home the team title.Tate Wood finished first at 120 pounds, going 3-0 on the day with two pins.

Warriors searching for first win

Fullerton remains winless on the year, dropping three games last week.On Tuesday, the Warriors fell to Chambers / Wheeler Central at home by a score of 32-28.Georgia Bridger finished with 9 points and 10 rebounds in the contest. Kaycee Harter finished with 8 points and 7 rebounds.

WOOD RIVER — Fullerton’s girls wrestling team traveled to Wood River on Saturday.Delylla Olson finished 2-2 on the day at 140 pounds, picking up a pin and winning a 9-3 decision.Fullerton will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Elgin for the Elgin-Pope John Invite.

Warriors finish 2nd at St. Paul

Fullerton’s 4th Grade boys captured 2nd place in a tournament held in St. Paul on Dec. 14. It was the first games they played this year.Fullerton started out with a tough opponent in the first game with the Hastings Adams Central team.
