FULLERTON — Though they did not amend their facility use policy, Fullerton schools are looking at ways to give the public more access to the building.The change comes one month after a group of parents and students went to the board seeking access to the gym and weight room.

The Fullerton Library is proud to announce the addition in the front of the library that includes a bench in memory of Jeff Keller and a Free Little Library donated by the Columbus Area United Way.

State Fair concludes with strong attendance

The Nebraska State Fair wrapped up its 2025 run with a total attendance of 334,383, marking an increase of 6% year over year.Opening weekend was bolstered by phenomenal weather, with Saturday and Sunday providing some of the best conditions the Fair has seen in recent years.

Joy Club starts Sept. 10

Joy Club is kicking off on Wednesday, Sept. 10, for kids in kindergarten through grade 6. Joy Club meets every Wednesday at Victory Baptist Church. It’s a fun and safe place where kids can learn and make friendships, right after school. Pickup is at 5 p.m.

County approves 2025-26 budget

FULLERTON — The Nance County Board of Supervisors approved the 2025-26 budget last week.The total operating budget saw a 3.22 percent increase over last year’s budget. The county’s tax request was set at $3,542,389.76. The approved tax rate is 0.256446 per $100 of assessed value.
