Local donations help with wildfires

Nance County residents can continue to help those affected by the western Nebraska Wildfires.A donation account has been established at Genoa Community Bank to help people impacted by the Nebraska fires. Checks can be made payable to Western Nebraska Fire Fund.

Fullerton sending Sabata, Gleason to State Speech

SPALDING — Fullerton has two members of the speech team heading for State.Fullerton participated in the D1-4 district at Riverside in Spalding.Lylla Sabata was the district champion in Persuasive Speaking and Extemporaneous Speaking. Everett Gleason finished third in Persuasive Speaking.

‘No Body Like Jimmy’ opens Friday

FULLERTON — The community is invited to a night of theater, and you don’t even have to leave town.“No Body Like Jimmy” opens on Friday at Eagles in Fullerton and runs Saturday with additional shows on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28.
The residents at Valley View Assisted Living celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in style on Tuesday. In addition to a little live entertainment, complete with Irish songs and a few jokes, the residents were greeted by a happy (and hoppy) leprechaun. Open houses scheduled for nitrate management

The Lower Loup NRD is hosting a series of Nitrate Management Information Open House events.Two meetings are scheduled for later this month. The first is Monday, March 23 in St. Edward from 4-7 p.m. at the community building, located at 206 N. 5th St.
