Corey Boryca celebrates 15 years at Cornhusker PPD

Corey Boryca, lead line technician on the Fullerton crew, recently celebrated 15 years of service to Cornhusker Public Power District. Boryca was hired in May 2009 as an apprentice line technician on the Columbus crew. He obtained to the Fullerton Line Crew in 2014.

City marking properties with blue flags

FULLERTON — Fullerton residents may soon see blue flags on their properties.The city of Fullerton is working on updating their list of where the nearly 700 water shutoffs are that are hooked up to water within the city.

Fullerton takes aim at nuisance properties

FULLERTON — The Fullerton City Council is working to clean up properties around the city.The council declared four properties a nuisance at their July 30 special meeting. Talks on one property was put off until their next meeting.

Airboaters raise $4,400 for Autism awareness

Nearly 60 airboaters stopped in Fullerton on Saturday for the 4th annual Airboaters for Autism Awareness – Thunderless Fun Run. Participants had the chance to win prizes, as well as participate in a duck race. More than $4,400 was raised this year. Photos provided

Nearly $10k donated to cancer patient

FULLERTON — The Nance County Fair held its annual extreme bull riding competition at the end of June. To add to the excitement this year, a benefit for Brandyn Berlin, a Genoa native, was incorporated into the event.

FULLERTON — Fullerton Public Library is playing host to a Resume Writing Seminar on Monday.The target audience of the seminar is high school students, but the event is open to the public, library director Laurel Marlatt said. The hour-long event will kick off at 6:30 p.m.
