Alda woman dies in Sunday accident

A 54-year-old Alda woman died on Sunday after her motorcycle struck a deer on Highway 22 north of Fullerton.Emergency responders were called to the scene at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday after a deer ran across the highway and struck the motorcycle that Penny Earl, 54, of Alda, was driving.

SPALDING — Fullerton has two members of the speech team heading for State.Fullerton participated in the D1-4 district at Riverside in Spalding.Lylla Sabata was the district champion in Persuasive Speaking and Extemporaneous Speaking. Everett Gleason finished third in Persuasive Speaking.

FULLERTON — The community is invited to a night of theater, and you don’t even have to leave town.“No Body Like Jimmy” opens on Friday at Eagles in Fullerton and runs Saturday with additional shows on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28.
The residents at Valley View Assisted Living celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in style on Tuesday. In addition to a little live entertainment, complete with Irish songs and a few jokes, the residents were greeted by a happy (and hoppy) leprechaun.
