Genealogical Society has meeting on Monday

The Boone-Nance County Genealogical Society will hold a regular meeting on Monday at the Fullerton Public Library, 903 Broadway, Fullerton, at 2 p.m.

Fullerton, Nance County and the rest of central Nebraska spent Tuesday digging-out following Monday’s snowfall. The forecast called for nearly a foot of snow in places, but less than 3 inches of snow fell. The wind and blowing snow was more of a problem.

Sheriff’s department joins national campaign against drunk driving

Earlier this month the Nance County Sheriffs department increased the number of deputies on the road in order participate in a national campaign called, “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.” One person is killed on average every 39 minutes in the United States as a result of drunk driving.

CSC announces students on the President’s List

CHADRON — Chadron State College has announced 365 names on the President’s List. A cumulative grade point average of at least is required for the academic honor.

UNK announces dean’s list for 2023 fall semester

KEARNEY — The University of Nebraska at Kearney announced students who earned a place on the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. Students who are on the dean’s list must have completed 12 credit hours or more of classes with a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale. Students earn a 4.
