Community to gather to discuss ballot initiatives

FULLERTON — A community meeting will take place on March 16 to discuss proposed ballot initiatives.The informational meeting is set for 7 p.m. on March 16 at the Nance County Event Center at the Nance County Fairgrounds. There will be 3-4 speakers discussing different ballot initiatives.

Genoa man arrested on warrant

GENOA — A Genoa man was taken into custody after the Central Nebraska Special Response team was called to a camper on the north side of Genoa. Wade Brandenburger Wade Brandenburger, 39, of Genoa, was arrested on a felony arrest warrant for domestic assault with bodily injuries (Class IIIA felony).

Sheriff: Man arrested for sexual assault, enticement

On Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026 The Nance County Sheriff’s Office arrested Neal C. Reardon of St. Edward on one count of First Degree Sexual Assault and one count of Enticement by Electronic Communication Device, both felony offenses. The offenses occurred between November 2025 and February 2026.

Reeg case pushed back to March 23

COLUMBUS — Justice is on hold in the shooting death of a Fullerton woman.Jack Reeg, 25, of Columbus, has hired a new attorney and has next court appearance was moved to March 23, with his jury trial scheduled for March 30. His original pretrial hearing was set for Monday.Glenn A.
