Heat Helper Fund Aids Area Families

COLUMBUS, Neb. — Many of us take a warm house for granted. Others face winter knowing they can’t afford to heat their homes. Loup Power District established the Heat Helper Fund with the goal of helping people stay warm.

Flower shops will collect tons of food for charity

(SIOUX FALLS, SD) Florists across central United States will gather over 20 tons of food for those in need November 7-12, 2022. Dubbed “Caring Rose Week,” the stores are deeply discounting bouquets of one dozen roses and accepting canned goods as partial payment.

CCH dietitian’s ‘Food for Thought’ in November

COLUMBUS, Neb.) – Learn how to live a healthier life with Food Thoughts, a free educational series of classes at Columbus Community Hospital. Food Thoughts classes are from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. every Friday in the multipurpose room at the Columbus Wellness Center.
