FULLERTON — There is plenty to do on the Fourth of July in Fullerton.
The veteran’s museum is once again hosting a car show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration for the car show begins at 9 a.m.
Fullerton FFA is sponsoring a sand volleyball tournament in the city park. Teams can still sign up at the Flower Barrel.
There will be free swim at the pool from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Miniature golf and free ice cream will also be available in the park.
The Nance County Historical Museum will be open from 1-3 p.m.
From 2-4 p.m., kids up to 6 years old can enjoy barrel train rides. There will also be free watermelon and popsicles in the park. Face painting and free cotton candy will be available from 2-4:30 p.m.
The parade on Broadway will get rolling at 4 p.m. Floats will begin lining up at the library at 3 p.m. George and Judy Palmer will serve as the parade’s Grand Marshal. Palmer celebrated 50 years as a funeral director earlier this year.
Live entertainment will be by 2nd Time Around band from 5-7 p.m. A freewill donation super in the park will be served from 5-6:30 p.m.
The day’s festivities will be capped with fireworks at the baseball field. The show will begin at dusk.
