Sheriff: Threats made, but no weapons found

GENOA — Police responded to Twin River on Tuesday morning following an altercation that occurred on Monday.

Nance County Sheriff Ben Bakewell issued a statement Tuesday morning:

“There was a physical fight last night between students.  There were also words exchanged and threats of a possible weapon being brought to school today.  The Nance County Sheriffs office and the Nebraska State Patrol responded to the school.  Several students were interviewed, lockers were searched.  There were no weapons found or brought to the school.  The school is back to normal operations, everyone is safe.”
