Thanks for the Memories

Twin River said goodbye to the Class of 2026 on Sunday. Commencement marks the end of one journey and the beginning of another. It was a chance for families and friends to see the graduates walk across the stage and receive their diplomas.

Fullerton, Twin River students earn medals at Speech State

KEARNEY — Nance County was well-represented at the State Speech meet.On Saturday, Fullerton’s Everett Gleason and Lylla Sabata competed in the Class D Speech Competition. Sabata was the runner-up in Persuasive Speaking and finished fifth in Extemporaneous Speaking.

GENOA — For the fourth time in five years, Twin River has taken home the district speech title.Twin River participated in the C2-1 District in Genoa.Noah Anderson was the district champion in Oral Interpretation of Poetry and Program Oral Interpretation.

Titans coach stays for now

GENOA — What a difference a few days can make.Twin River football coach Kalin Koch will remain on the sidelines for at least one more season. Koch and the district reached an agreement last week to keep him as head coach.
Fullerton’s junior class returned home on Thursday with the traveling trophy after winning a round of Jeopardy against Twin River at the end of County Government Day. Students were quizzed with things they learned throughout the day.

County Government Day

Part of County Government Day includes visiting the different offices around the courthouse. Fullerton and Twin River juniors spent their afternoon meeting with county officials and learning the different aspects of local government.

Jeep trails open, support post prom

GENOA — Calling all Jeep owners. An off-road adventure awaits.A private Jeep trail is opening for one day only. Go on an off-road adventure and help support Twin River’s Post Prom.The trails, located at 36155 N. 495th St., in Genoa, will open to the public on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Twin River celebrates final beam of phase one

Twin River students and staff gathered outside the school Friday morning to watch the final beam of phase one of the school construction project lifted into place. Students and staff had the opportunity to sign the beam on Thursday and Friday.

TITAN HOMECOMING

Twin River celebrated Homecoming last week, capping the week’s festivities with the Homecoming Parade on Friday. Students held signs, rode floats and cheered on the Titans to a victory Friday night against Heartland.

Twin River changing messaging services

GENOA — Twin River Schools is moving to a new messaging service.The Twin River Board of Education approved the change at their meeting on Monday. The district will switch over to Apptegy Rooms later this year.
