Three Quilts of Valot were presented to area veterans on Monday at Fullerton’s Veteran’s Day program. David Sorenson, Larry Phillips and Roger Hellbusch received quilts at the program. Melinda Reimer and Lyla Sierks made the quilt for Sorenson. Delylla Olson made the quilt for Phillips.

NANCE COUNTY — Americans across the country went to the polls on Tuesday to decide the direction of the future.Nance County residents returned 1,864 ballots in this week’s General Election. Voter turnout in the county was an eye-popping 77.44 percent. Nebraska’s statewide voter turnout was 73.

Flower shops will collect tons of food for charity

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Florists across central United States will gather over 20 tons of food for those in need Nov. 11-16. Dubbed “Caring Rose Week,” the stores are deeply discounting bouquets of one dozen roses and accepting canned goods as partial payment.
