Nitrate model aids producers with nutrient management

Sheriff responds to incident near school

GENOA — Officers responded to an incident Twin River Schools on Friday morning. The Nance County Sheriff’s Department released a statement on Friday that deputies responded to an incident between a high school student and a parent.

FULLERTON — Cael Dubas outlasted 12 other seventh and eighth grade students last Wednesday to win the Nance County Spelling Bee. “It is a good honor,” he said. “I got third last year. I was looking for improvement this year. I improved, so I am happy with it.

Primary election begins to take shape

This is just over a week remaining for incumbents to file for re-election. Incumbents have until Feb. 15 to turn in their paperwork to appear on the May 14 Primary Election. Non-incumbent candidates have until March 1 to file their paperwork.

District to discuss building project

Feed the Pig & help Head Start

FULLERTON — Fullerton Head Start is launching a Feed the Pig campaign again this year. They are trying to raise money to send representatives to Congress to lobby for Head Start funds. Without these funds, there would not be a Head Start program.

During National FFA Week Feb. 17 through Feb. 24, Central Valley Ag cooperative will donate 10 cents from every gallon purchased to empower the next generation of leaders through the Nebraska FFA Foundation.
