State poet close to reaching all counties

FULLERTON — When Matt Mason began his term as Nebraska State Poet in 2019, he had one major goal in mind. He wanted to visit every county in Nebraska and hold at least one poetry event in each one. So far, he has visited 80 of Nebraska’s 93 counties.

School project moving forward

GENOA — The public has spoken and Twin River Schools have listened. The Twin River Schools Board of Education met last Wednesday to discuss the results of the surveys collected at two community meetings in January.

FULLERTON — In Nebraska, suicide is the second leading cause of death in 10- to 24-year-olds. Most people can think of someone in their lives who has been personally affected by a loved one’s suicide. As prevalent as suicide has become, there is still a significant stigma surrounding it.

2024 Chamber officers named

The Fullerton Chamber of Commerce recently elected officers for 2024. Those officers are: Suzanne Schweitz, President; Dustin Schock, Vice-President; Fran Cupples, Secretary; Tracy Kramer, Treasurer. Chamber meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Eagles Club.
