FULLERTON — It’s that time of year again: Time to spruce up your neighborhood.The Fullerton city-wide cleanup day is Saturday. Dumpsters will be available at the Nance County Fairgrounds, located at 406 N. Ida St., from 8 a.m. until they are full.

Bloodmobile collects 48 units

Fullerton Bloodmobile was held April 7th. Our loyal donors presented 48 units. Those giving double units were Craig Christensen (reaching his 11 gal. milestone), Mike Liesch, David Berney and Lisa Lassek.

All-vocal country group Home Free will bring their signature harmonies and high-energy performance to the Nebraska State Fair, headlining a free concert Friday, September 4 at TD Landing as part of their Highways & High Seas Tour.

City receives $2,000 grant

The city of Fullerton received a $2,000 grant from the Margaret Russell Trust Donor Advised Fund of Nebraska Community Foundation.This grant will be used for the completion of the Softball Batting Cage project. The city appreciates your generosity and commitment to the youth of our community.

A retired agronomist told the Hall County Commission Tuesday, April 7, that heavy metal levels are well above drinking water standards from Grand Island almost to Columbus.

Hospital to host Scrubs and Uniforms Sale May 12-13

COLUMBUS — Health care professionals won’t want to miss Columbus Community Hospital’s Scrubs and Uniforms Sale this May. The event starts Tuesday, May 12, from noon-7 p.m. in the hospital’s south parking lot. It will continue Wednesday, May 13, from 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
