Don’t push your luck on St. Patrick’s Day festivities

LINCOLN  —   Safe driving isn’t a matter of luck. Make your plans now for a sober driver if you’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) will be on patrol for impaired driving Friday through Tuesday as part of a nationwide enforcement effort around St.

Make sure you stay in game & get screened for colon cancer

LINCOLN — During the month of March, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services encourages Nebraska residents age 45 and older to get screened for colon cancer. Both men and women over the age of 45 are at increased risk, and regular preventive health screenings save lives.

Building for the Future

FULLERTON —Work continues on Fullerton’s newest downtown business — Fullerton’s Finds.The thrift store still has some work to do before opening their doors to the public, but volunteers are hard at work taking donations and sorting all the treasures that will soon be for sale.

Show choir takes 2nd at ‘Clash of the Titans’

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa — Fullerton’s show choir — 8th and Broadway — received second place in the 1A division at Lewis Central’s Clash of the Titans over the weekend in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Loup Power District renews memberships

COLUMBUS — Loup Power District renewed its membership in Community Clubs and Chambers of Commerce in towns throughout its service area.Checks totaling $34,736 were presented to communities in Boone, Colfax, Nance, Platte, and Madison counties.
