Older Nebraskans Day filled with celebration

The Nebraska State Fair invites guests of all ages to Older Nebraskans Day on Monday, Aug. 25, for a full day of fun, wellness, and community, highlighted by a nostalgic concert by The Righteous Brothers at 2 p.m. inside the Heartland Events Center.

Back to School Bash is Sunday

BELGRADE — A Back to School Bash is Sunday in Belgrade.The event, sponsored by the Belgrade Community Club, kicks off at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Belgrade Community Hall. There will be games, drinks, snacks, arts and crafts and prizes.The event is for all school-age children.

Veterans honored with Quilts of Valor

FULLERTON — Two area veterans were honored for their service on Saturday night at the Nance County Fair.Dennis Gabriel and Susan K. Smith were presented with Quilts of Valor. A third quilt was constructed for Bennie Rinkol, but he was unable to attend and receive it.

Pawnee Nation members visits area

GENOA — Members of the Pawnee Nation visited the Genoa/ Nance County area on July 15, 2025. Walter Echo-Hawk, an Elder, lawyer and author, organized the tour along with former State Archaeologist Rob Bozell.
