FULLERTON —As the weather gets warmer, the city of Fullerton would like to remind residents of motor scooter safety guidelines.Safety flags and helmets are required The city recently adopted a new ordinance that requires safety flags and helmets on electric motor scooters.

Loup delivers county tax payments

COLUMBUS — Loup Power District recently delivered inside revenue payments and the second half of the in-lieu-of-tax payments to the counties it serves. This is a benefit of being served by a locally controlled, not-for-profit utility.

Spaghetti Feed is Sunday in Belgrade

BELGRADE — Belgrade Volunteer Fire Department is hosting their annual Spaghetti Feed Fundraiser on April 13 in conjunction with the Belgrade Community Club Easter Egg Hunt.The Spaghetti Feed brings one of their biggest crowds every year and is always held the Sunday before Easter.

Carolyn Fiscus knows where her aunt, Mildred Lowe, spent her final days.She knows the 12-year-old Winnebago girl became gravely ill in the winter of 1930 at the Genoa U.S. Indian Industrial Boarding School. She knows Mildred died.She does not know where her aunt was buried.

Council holds special meeting

FULLERTON — The Fullerton City Council met on Thursday to approve two appointments in a two-minute special meeting.The council unanimously approved Patty Noble as the city’s new City Administrator and April Sack as the city’s new Zoning Administrator.

Merrick Arts Council will end its 2024-25 season with the Flatwater Jazz Orchestra on Sunday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m. Also featured on this concert will be the Central Nebraska Youth Jazz Ensemble.
