Board of Education reorganizes

FULLERTON — Fullerton Public Schools Board of Education met Jan. 13.During the meeting the board elected Beth Sonderup as President. Brad Anderson was elected as Vice President. Brian Aaberg was elected secretary. Jennifer Wood was elected treasurer.

Directors complete certification program

Ben Meis and Heath Reimers, directors of the CVA headquartered in York, recently completed a four-phase educational program co-sponsored by the Nebraska Cooperative Council and CoBank. Each will receive a Certificate of Recognition acknowledging completion of the program.

School data breached nationally

'Winner-take-all’ introduced in Legislature

LINCOLN —At the request of Governor Jim Pillen, last week Senator Loren Lippincott introduced LB3 to restore Nebraska to a winner-take-all system of awarding electoral votes in presidential elections.“I am grateful to Senator Lippincott for his leadership in restoring winner-take-all,” Pillen said.

PLENTY OF PEP

The Fullerton pep band put on a show in between basketball games against Heartland on Friday. The band played while the boys teams warmed up. Reagan Syslo and Lora Sonderup play the bells. Kynlee Sheffler is playing flute.  Reese Dubas and Austry Adams are playing cymbals.

Supervisors take oath of office

Three members of the Nance County Board of Supervisors — Andrew Ditter (left), Ralph “Butch” Horacek and Scott Russell — officially began their terms of office on Wednesday when they took their oath office. Lisa Langan, Nance County interim clerk magistrate, administered the oaths.

Talking toddlers & technology

FULLERTON — A Toddlers & Technology workshop is coming to Fullerton Public Library.The workshop, provided by Smart Gen Society, is from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
